Municchi kitchens: beyond 50 years the family at the centre of the company.


The Company was born during the post – war reconstruction when the country raised the head from the rubbles of the 2nd world war, while the italians rolled up their sleeves and multiplied the energies to create the preamble of the industrial increase was coming in the fifties.
In these years the electric network covered by then almost all the italian cities, but nobody immagined not yet the gas could be arriving from Algeria, and the housewive’s cookers were being powered by the gpl cylinders.

The history of Municchi kitchens begins since 1953, when the founder, Giovanbattista Municchi, decided it was the right time to launch a small workplace that should have concentrated his production on the kitchens furniture, with special attention to the small “mobile” used to contain the gas cylinder.
Years in which  the Municchi brothers worked with great intensity, starting that growth is lasting still now, and heading a small workplace becoming an outstanding kitchens furniture firm, including more than 140 workers and 3 manufacturing plants.

After the early years spent in the small workplace, from the 1958 the Company began to organize itself to produce increasingly at an industrial level.
In the small firm were initially 25 workers; starting from the little gas mobiles, in that period the production specialized the kitchens furnitures, the old “mettitutto”, furnishing the great majority of the italians houses in the sixties.

The growth and the development were steady, and before the move to the new plant, in the 1992, the company was about 100 employees.
In the middle of nineties, the company management set the full time involvement of the second family generation, who has given further impulse to the business towards new markets: despite the world economic slumps during the end of the last century, the company has kept growing up to the present. 

 
Actually the president of the company is still the founder Giovanbattista Municchi, supported by his brother Giuseppe, whereas Vittorio municchi is in charge of the management together with his cousin Giorgio.
